“Life is millions of combinations of probabilities that are interdependent, hard to predict. The best people improve the probability of success through hard work, learning, smart choices and long term thinking.”
I grew up in a family deeply committed to social impact. My grandfather and father devoted their lives to education and service, launching schools that shaped their communities. Their idealism left a lasting impression on me. My elder brother was a fearless entrepreneur, undeterred by challenges. We lost him to cancer, but his courage continues to guide many of my life choices.
When I was in school, I fell seriously ill and missed months of classes. Everyone advised me to pause, but I pushed through and earned a place at IIT. That experience taught me that anything is possible if you give it your best. Later, during the dot-com bust, I founded my own company. The failure was painful, but it taught me humility, resilience, and empathy for the founder’s journey.
I believe enduring leadership is about understanding yourself and learning how your greatest strengths can also become your blind spots. The best founders are authentic, self-aware, and honest about what they need to grow. I am drawn to founders who hold themselves to a high bar, stay connected to reality, and build with purpose.
Outside work, I find joy in cricket, action movies, nature, climbing mountains, spending time with family, and chasing crazy ideas.
