"Startups are an exercise in alchemy—conjuring greatness from nothing. Having a small role to play is a responsibility I do not take lightly."

I grew up in a "Marwari" (trader community in India) household where entrepreneurship was the only valid profession. Dinner conversations revolved around "byaaj" (interest) and "munafa" (profit); calculating taxes was a party trick taught well before fifth grade.

I discovered startups and venture capital through blogs and podcasts, and decided at 19 to become a VC—without knowing what I was signing up for, only that working with great entrepreneurs would be thrilling. After university, I cold-called firms only to be shooed away for having no experience or pedigree.

Much of my career is owed to the generosity of others. I landed my first job through a cold email—they had no reason to meet me, and yet they did, altering my trajectory. I hope to extend similar kindness to others.

Working with early-stage companies is a privilege bar none. We often meet founders when they have little more than the blurry contours of a powerful idea, and it's an honor to help co-build something enduring, brick by brick.

Entrepreneurship is not for the faint of heart, and I'm drawn to obsessives—founders wildly passionate about the craft of product building, the mechanics of their market, or company design. They pair intense commitment with deep humility: information sponges with unshakable belief in the outcome but flexibility in tactics.

I'm most excited about AI—reshaping enterprises in what they offer and how they're managed, and consumer lives in how we learn, heal, and love.
