“The most impact comes from understanding two ideas: compounding, and how the magnitude of correctness beats frequency of correctness.”

I grew up in a traditional South Indian family with a predictable path ahead: study hard, do engineering, and get a software job in Bangalore. But curiosity led me beyond code. I wanted to understand how technology translated into business value. That took me to IIM Ahmedabad, where I spent two years as a classic “maggu,” soaking up everything I could before joining McKinsey.

Two years later, when the thrill of airline miles and slide decks wore off, a headhunter call changed my life. Sequoia India, now Peak XV, wanted someone to evaluate new ideas. Two decades later, I still feel that same excitement partnering with founders and watching ideas turn into enduring companies.

At Peak XV, I aim to be a founder’s most trusted partner, to speak the truth, have tough conversations when needed, and stand firm when things get hard. I seek out founders solving real pain points with clarity, focus, and grit. The best ones know how to channel their energy like a spear, not a sphere, and stay on a steep learning curve.

Outside work, I am a dad, an introvert, a gym regular, a squash player, a reader, and a filter coffee addict.
