“Be wired for discomfort, seek it out. That's where growth happens.”
I grew up in Nashik, in Maharashtra, India, as part of a fairly conservative family. After finishing high school in Mumbai, I moved to the US at 18 to attend the University of Kansas. Until then, my perception of the US had been shaped by shows like The OC. So, it’s no surprise that getting over the culture shock was one of first challenges—the USA I had seen on TV was different from the one that welcomed me in the Midwest.
After graduating, I moved to the Bay Area and explored go-to-market roles across account management, customer success, business development, and sales. I realized that while sales has a low barrier to entry, making a real impact requires excellence. I saw it as the right path to accelerate my career and pursue my American dream, which led me to Quantcast, Drawbridge (later acquired by LinkedIn), and Lattice.
In my first sales role, I became a people leader for the first time and realized I loved building revenue engines, managing people, and operating in scale-up environments.
As a revenue leader, I’ve been part of a team that, in under four years, scaled revenue from single-digit millions to over $100 million across multiple product lines. Over the past few years, I’ve also helped build collaborative cultures with a voluntary attrition rate of just 1%, which is rare in sales organizations.
As an Executive-in-Residence at Peak XV Partners, I work with cross-border founders on go-to-market strategy and scaling their companies in the US.
