We’re thrilled to launch Season Two of ‘She Builds’, a series created by Sequoia India & Southeast Asia in partnership with National Geographic to inspire every woman – and every girl – to discover her spark and know that she, too, can start and scale an enduring company.

Although the number of women graduating from university in India and Southeast Asia is at an all time high, the proportion of women in tech and the number of female founders remains low.

The team at Sequoia Spark, our program for female founders, have launched a fellowship for aspiring entrepreneurs to help address this gap, and created this series with National Geographic to encourage more women to start up. By sharing stories of women who are building new technologies, categories or business models, and tackling personal and professional challenges along the way, we hope to put entrepreneurship on the agenda for a wider group of women and girls.

Season One of ‘She Builds’, which launched in February on Disney+ Hotstar in India and across National Geographic’s digital platforms, shared six inspiring stories of Indian women who are driving innovation and change. You can catch the entire first season here.

Season Two, which launches on October 7, features three women from India and two from Indonesia who are scaling startups across a range of industries, from SaaS and FinTech to direct-to-consumer brands. Tune in to hear the stories of Vymo co-founder Yamini Bhat, Progcap co-founder Pallavi Shrivastava, Wingreens World co-founder Anju Srivastava, Beautyhaul co-founder Irene Ursula, and Lemonilo co-founder Shinta Nurfauzia.
